Diamond Home Support is looking for self-employed cleaners who have availability for domestic cleaning work in Otley and the surrounding area.

Instead of having set contracted hours, you can shape the work around your own week. Let us know when you’re free and the locations you can comfortably reach. When we have a suitable household looking for a cleaner, we can put the opportunity to you.

It’s then your decision whether you want to take that client on.

What Happens After You’re Introduced?

If you accept a client, you’ll usually become their regular cleaner. Some households need a weekly visit while others prefer cleaning every fortnight.

The day and time are agreed in advance, so once you have several clients you can create a fairly consistent weekly routine. You’ll receive payment directly from each client for the cleaning you carry out.

Diamond Home Support provides insurance for the work introduced through us and handles the process of finding suitable client enquiries.

The Type of Cleaning You’ll Do

This is everyday domestic cleaning in private homes. You’ll work with each client to understand which areas they would like you to concentrate on during their regular visit.

Tasks can include:

• Cleaning baths, showers, sinks and toilets
• Wiping kitchen surfaces and worktops
• Vacuuming carpets and other floors
• Dusting furniture and surfaces
• Polishing
• Mopping or steam cleaning suitable flooring
• Cleaning internal windows
• Other agreed general household cleaning

There’s no need to supply your own cleaning products or equipment. The client provides these for use in their home.

Make the Hours Fit Your Availability

You could have one or two free days each week, a few gaps between other commitments or be looking for a fuller part-time schedule. You decide how much work you want to consider.

Cleaning appointments are generally available during weekday daytime hours. You don’t need to commit to evening or weekend work.

You can also limit your working area to locations around Otley that make sense for you, helping to keep travelling between clients reasonable.

What You’ll Need

We’re interested in applicants with previous domestic cleaning experience. Relevant experience from other cleaning environments may also be considered.

You’ll need to work on a self-employed basis and be able to provide two references.

A driving licence and access to a car are required because some clients may live outside convenient public transport routes.

Already Have Your Own Clients?

You can carry on working for them. If you have spare hours in your current cleaning round, you can consider additional clients introduced by Diamond Home Support without changing the rest of your schedule.
