Not looking for work? Book a cleaner in Carmarthen
Self-Employed Cleaner Vacancy - Carmarthen
Rate: £14.50 per hour
Job Type: Self-employed. Part-time. Flexible hours.
Job Description
We're looking for a reliable, self-employed cleaner to take on regular clients across Carmarthen. You'll build up your own set of weekly or fortnightly bookings and shape your working week around them.
About Working in Carmarthen
Carmarthen is the main town for a large, largely rural county, and a lot of our clients here live outside the town itself, out along the Tywi valley or in the smaller villages that surround it. That means cleaners who don't mind a bit of driving between visits tend to do particularly well, since there's less competition once you're a few miles out. We take care of finding clients and arranging insurance, so you can focus on the cleaning and build a schedule around your own commitments.
What You Can Expect
We'll match you with clients across Carmarthen who need regular weekly or fortnightly cleaning. Visits are arranged for set times, so you'll always know your schedule in advance. Clients pay you directly, the rate is competitive, and you're insured while carrying out the work. You choose your own hours and which parts of Carmarthen you'd like to cover, with no requirement to work evenings or weekends. Our local team is on hand if you ever need support.
Main Tasks
Typical duties include:
- Cleaning kitchens and bathrooms
- Dusting and polishing surfaces
- Vacuuming
- Mopping or steaming floors
- Tidying rooms
- Cleaning internal windows or similar household areas
What You Need
You'll need to be working on a self-employed basis with at least a year's experience in domestic cleaning or similar work, plus two references. A car and driving licence are essential here, since a good number of clients are out in the villages around Carmarthen rather than the town centre. Living in or near Carmarthen is a real advantage for keeping travel time down. Cleaners who already have their own clients and want extra hours are also welcome to apply.
Why This Role Appeals to Many
The appeal here is having control over your own diary rather than someone else's rota, no dress code beyond casual clothing, and a steady base of local clients that means reliable income without long journeys out of the county.
Next Steps
If this sounds like the right fit, hit Apply Now and complete the short form, choosing Carmarthen as your preferred area. We'll review your application and be in touch shortly after.
