The Work Involved

Every home is different, but your usual responsibilities are likely to include:

Cleaning kitchens and bathrooms thoroughly.
Dusting, vacuuming, and mopping or steaming floors.
Polishing surfaces and keeping rooms neat and tidy.
Cleaning inside windows and other surfaces around the home.

What You’ll Need

To apply, you’ll need to:

Work as a self-employed cleaner.
Have at least one year’s experience in domestic cleaning or a similar role.
Be able to provide two references.
Hold a driving licence and have access to a car, as some client homes cannot be reached by public transport.
Ideally be based in or close to the Braintree area.

If you already operate a small cleaning business, this role can also provide extra local clients to complement your existing round.
