Diamond Home Support has opportunities for self-employed cleaners who want to work with regular clients in Dover and nearby areas.

You won’t be allocated a fixed rota. Instead, you tell us the days you’re free, the hours you would like to work and the locations that are practical for you. We can then introduce you to households whose requirements fit with your availability.

Develop Your Own Regular Schedule

Many of our clients want ongoing help with their household cleaning, either weekly or fortnightly. When you agree to take on a client, the visit will usually take place at a regular time, helping you plan your working week in advance.

You can choose to work with just a handful of clients or take on more as your availability allows. You’ll be paid directly by each household for the cleaning you carry out, and insurance is provided for work arranged through Diamond Home Support.

What Will Clients Ask You to Do?

The priorities will differ from one home to another. Your regular visits could include:

Cleaning bathroom suites, showers and toilets
Cleaning kitchen worktops, sinks and surfaces
Vacuuming carpets and other flooring
Dusting around the home
Polishing furniture and surfaces
Mopping or steam cleaning hard floors
Cleaning internal windows
Other general domestic cleaning agreed with your client

The products and equipment you use are supplied by each client and remain in their home.

Work During the Week

Domestic cleaning appointments are generally available during the daytime, Monday to Friday. You won’t normally need to make yourself available in the evenings or at weekends.

You also have control over the geographical area you cover. This can help you create a practical group of regular clients without spending unnecessary time travelling between appointments.

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience in domestic cleaning is preferred. We can also consider applicants who have relevant experience from other types of cleaning work.

As you’ll be working independently in clients’ homes, you should be able to maintain regular appointments and manage your own schedule.

You’ll need to:

Be self-employed
Supply two references
Have a full driving licence
Have access to your own car
Be able to reach clients in Dover and nearby areas
