Rate: £15.00 per hour

Diamond Home Support is looking for experienced cleaners who would like regular domestic cleaning work in Gloucester.

This isn’t a role with set weekly hours. Instead, we introduce you to local households looking for a cleaner and match the work to the times you have available. You can decide how many clients you want and which parts of Gloucester are convenient for you.

Regular Clients and Predictable Visits

Our aim is to give you continuity rather than constantly sending you to different homes. Most clients require cleaning every week or fortnight, with visits arranged for a regular day and time.

You’ll be paid directly by the client for each visit. Insurance for the cleaning work is provided through Diamond Home Support.

This arrangement gives you the freedom to organise your own working week while still having regular appointments in your diary.

What You’ll Do in Clients’ Homes

There’s no identical routine for every property. You’ll agree the cleaning required with each client, which will typically include a selection of the following:

• Cleaning bathrooms, toilets and showers
• Cleaning kitchen work surfaces and other kitchen areas
• Dusting furniture and surfaces
• Vacuuming carpets and floors
• Polishing
• Mopping or steam cleaning hard floors
• Cleaning internal windows
• General domestic cleaning

You don’t need to buy or transport cleaning products and equipment. These are supplied by the client for use in their home.

Your Working Week

You choose when you’re available and how much work you want to accept. Domestic cleaning appointments are normally carried out during the daytime, Monday to Friday, so evening and weekend availability isn’t required.

We’ll also take account of where you want to work when introducing clients. Keeping appointments within a sensible travelling distance can make it much easier to organise several clients into your week.

What Do You Need to Apply?

Previous experience of cleaning private homes is preferred, although experience from other relevant cleaning work may also be suitable.

As a self-employed cleaner, you’ll need to be comfortable working independently and managing your regular appointments with clients.

You’ll also need:

• Two references
• A driving licence
• Access to your own car
• Availability to work in Gloucester and the surrounding area
