Diamond Home Support is recruiting self-employed domestic cleaners for regular work with clients in and around Stroud. This is an opportunity to build a local cleaning round while keeping control over when and where you work.

Rather than travelling to different locations every day, the aim is to provide you with regular clients who require cleaning at an agreed day and time.

Domestic Cleaning Work in Stroud

We receive enquiries from households throughout the Stroud area looking for ongoing help with their home cleaning. These range from busy households needing a weekly clean to clients who prefer a fortnightly visit.

Diamond Home Support finds the clients and introduces them to you. Insurance is provided for the work you undertake, while you remain free to decide which clients you accept and how many hours you want to work.

This can work particularly well if you want to create a cleaning schedule around family commitments, school hours, another part-time role or cleaning work you already have.

What the Role Offers

Once introduced to a suitable client, you will usually visit their home on the same agreed day and at the same time each week or fortnight.

You can expect:

• Regular domestic cleaning clients around Stroud
• £15.00 per hour, paid directly to you by each client
• Insurance for the cleaning work you carry out
• Freedom to choose your working hours

The Cleaning Work

Every home is different, but your regular cleaning may include:

• Cleaning bathrooms, showers and toilets
• Wiping kitchen surfaces and cleaning kitchen areas
• Dusting furniture and household surfaces
• Vacuuming carpets and floors
• Mopping or steam cleaning hard floors
• Polishing where required
• Cleaning internal windows

Who We Are Looking For

You will need to be self-employed and ideally have at least one year’s previous experience of domestic cleaning or comparable work.

You must also be able to provide two references. As cleaning appointments can be in different parts of the Stroud area, applicants should drive and have access to their own car.

Living locally is an advantage as it makes it easier to put together a practical cleaning round with less travelling between clients.

If you already clean for your own clients but have gaps in your working week, you are welcome to apply for additional work.
