Self-Employed Cleaning Work Around Launceston

Would you like regular cleaning work without having to find all of the clients yourself? Diamond Home Support is looking for self-employed domestic cleaners with availability in Launceston and the surrounding area.

We receive enquiries from households looking for ongoing cleaning and introduce suitable clients to you. You can consider each opportunity individually and decide whether the location, hours and frequency work for you.

Work With the Same Households Regularly

The majority of clients aren’t looking for a one-off clean. They want someone who can visit their home regularly, usually once a week or every fortnight.

Once you take on a client, you’ll normally continue cleaning for them at an agreed day and time. As you take on more clients, you can develop a regular diary that works around the rest of your week.

You’ll be paid directly by each client. Insurance is provided for cleaning work arranged through Diamond Home Support.

What Does the Cleaning Involve?

There will be differences between homes, so you’ll discuss priorities with each client. A typical appointment could involve:

Cleaning sinks, baths, showers and toilets
Cleaning kitchen surfaces and work areas
Vacuuming carpets and flooring
Dusting furniture, shelves and surfaces
Polishing where required
Mopping or steam cleaning suitable floors
Cleaning internal windows
Other agreed domestic cleaning around the home

You don’t need to provide your own products, vacuum cleaner or other cleaning equipment. The client supplies what you need to clean their home.

Organise Work Around Your Other Commitments

You control the amount of work you take on. You might want several appointments on one or two days, a few hours spread throughout the week, or enough clients to create a larger part-time schedule.

Cleaning visits are normally carried out during weekday daytime hours, so evenings and weekends can remain free.

You can also choose how far you’re prepared to travel around Launceston when considering new clients.

Is This the Right Fit?

We’re looking for people who can work independently and reliably maintain regular appointments with their clients.

Previous domestic cleaning experience is preferred. Experience gained from other relevant cleaning roles can also be considered.

You’ll need to:

Work on a self-employed basis
Provide two references
Have a driving licence
Have your own car
Be able to travel to clients around Launceston and nearby areas

Having your own transport is particularly useful for reaching households outside the town where public transport may be limited.

Already Have a Cleaning Round?

You can keep your current clients and simply add new ones when you have suitable spaces in your diary. There’s no requirement to take every client you’re offered.
