Diamond Home Support is looking for self-employed cleaners to help households in St Austell with their regular domestic cleaning.

We take care of finding clients and making the initial arrangements. When suitable work becomes available, you can decide whether the location, day and time work for you. This gives you the freedom to create a cleaning schedule that fits around your other commitments.

What Happens When You Take On a Client?

You’ll be introduced to a household looking for regular cleaning, usually every week or every two weeks. If you accept the client, you’ll agree a regular appointment and return to the same home for ongoing visits.

This means you can get to know your clients and their homes rather than constantly working at different properties.

You’ll be paid directly by each client for the hours you work. Diamond Home Support also provides insurance for cleaning undertaken through us.

What Kind of Cleaning Is Involved?

These are regular domestic cleaning appointments rather than one-off or commercial cleaning jobs. Every household has its own priorities, but your visits are likely to involve tasks such as:

Cleaning kitchen surfaces, sinks and other kitchen areas
Cleaning bathrooms, showers and toilets
Vacuuming throughout the home
Dusting furniture and surfaces
Polishing
Mopping or steam cleaning suitable floors
Cleaning internal windows
Other agreed general cleaning

The client supplies the products and equipment, so you don’t need to provide your own cleaning materials.

Fit the Hours Around Your Life

You decide how many clients you want to take on and when you’re available to work. If you only have certain weekdays free, we’ll take this into account when looking at suitable introductions.

Cleaning appointments are generally during the daytime from Monday to Friday. You won’t be expected to work evenings or weekends.

You can also specify which parts of St Austell and the surrounding area you’re prepared to travel to.

Who Are We Looking For?

You should be comfortable working independently in people’s homes and providing a consistent service to your regular clients.

Previous domestic cleaning experience is preferred. Relevant experience in another cleaning environment may also be considered.

You’ll need:

Two references
A driving licence and your own car
The ability to travel to clients locally
To work on a self-employed basis

A car is important because some households around the St Austell area aren’t easily accessible by public transport.
